NY1's weekly segment "Your Weekend Starts Now" shows entertaining picks for great things to do this weekend all around the city. NY1's Stephanie Simon filed the following report.

Complexions Contemporary Ballet

If you're looking for something great to do this weekend, why not check out Complexions Contemporary Ballet, celebrating its 20th anniversary season at the Joyce Theatre in Chelsea. It's ballet for modern times, a vibrant mix of traditional ballet, modern dance, hip hop and more. The season runs through November 30. Tickets start at $35.

"The Tempest Out of Seoul Korea"

At La MaMa, see this unique and fantastical production of Shakespeare's The Tempest out of Seoul Korea. This version is set in the fifth century, Korea. Now through Sunday. Tickets start at $30.

South Asian International Film Festival

The South Asian International Film festival, presented by HBO, runs now through Sunday with an array of full features and shorts at several locations. Tickets start at $20.

Nitehawk Shorts Festival

Now through Sunday, Nitehawk Cinema is Williamsburg is presenting its second annual shorts festival, with a special focus on filmmakers working in New York. Tickets are $11.

Ballet Hispanico's "CARMEN.maquia"

Ballet Hispanico returns to The Apollo Theater Saturday night for its first evening-length work, CARMEN.maquia, a re-imagination of the gypsy tale. Tickets start at $28.

Perp Walk featuring Roger Clark
