A Bronx Community College radiology student is going to court to fight an imminent deportation order.

Julio Hernandez Moreno, above center, says he is seeking asylum because he fears for his life if he goes back to El Salvador.

He fled to the United States in 2007 as an undocumented immigrant after gang members threatened him due to his sexual orientation.

Hernandez was on a Greyhound bus in April when he was detained by Customs and Border Patrol in Pennsylvania while traveling from Chicago to New York.

"I want to stay in the United States. I want to get a better life for me and my family. Maybe in the future I can take my family, my parents to come to the United States," said Hernandez.

He said he also fears for his mother, who he says has to pay a fee to gang members so they will not kill her or wreck her store.
