The Health Department will use a helicopter to spray parts of Staten Island, the Bronx and Queens with a non-chemical larvacide to help control the number of mosquitoes.

Marshes and non-residential areas will be targeted for three days, starting Tuesday, weather permitting.

Mosquitoes transmit the virus.

People infected with the virus can develop severe illness, which may include high fever, vision loss and paralysis.
