A young boy was killed Monday night after an accident at a Bronx bank.
Police said 4-year-old Emanuel Corniel Delgado was playing on a counter at the Apple Bank on East 161st Street in Concourse Village around 7:45 p.m. Monday when the counter fell on top of him.
James Matera, the senior vice president of Apple Bank, said it happened in the ATM vestibule.
Matera said the accident is under investigation.
"This is a terrible tragedy for the Delgado family, to whom we extend our sincere condolences, and extremely upsetting to everyone at Apple Bank," Matera said.
