Police say five more people were robbed at needlepoint in the Bronx by a man who allegedly threatens his victims with a hypodermic needle.

The new robberies bring the total number to eight since mid-August.

Most of the alleged robberies occurred along East Tremont Avenue, including three that occurred last Friday.

In one of those robberies, police said the suspect used a knife to threaten the victim.

The suspect is said to be about 40 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
