The Department of Education is targeting three more city schools for closure.

Alfred E. Smith High School and Monroe Academy for Business Law in the Bronx will be phased out, along with the School of Business, Computer Applications and Entrepreneurship in Queens.

Citing low graduation rates and poor performance, the city will stop accepting new students next fall and close after current students graduate.

So far, 20 schools are being targeted for closure as part of the Mayor Michael Bloomberg's plan to close 10 percent of under-performing city schools over the next four years.

The public has 45 days to comment on all of the proposals, but the Panel for Educational Policy is expected to vote in favor of all of the closures.
