The Department of Education is partnering up with Clear Channel New York to spread the word about the NYC Schools Survey.
The results will be used for planning the 2010-2011 school year.
According to the DOE, nearly 45 percent of parents, 80 percent of students and 73 percent of teachers participated in the survey last year.
Clear Channel is contributing half-a-million dollars in advertising space on outdoor, radio and digital platforms to bring attention to the survey.
"We're trying to find out what's working and what things need improvement and the way you do that is you don't just listen to a few, you listen to everyone and you see what your strengths and you see where you need to do additional work," said Schools Chancellor Joel Klein.
The surveys will go out to parents this week in their children's backpacks, at school events, and in the mail.
Teachers will fill out their surveys online only for the first time.
This is the fourth year of the NYC Schools Survey.
