A fourth grade teacher is being charged with sexually abusing five students in Queens.
District Attorney Richard Brown says Simon Watts, 38, of PS 15 in Springfield Gardens is being charged with abusing the female students who ranged between the ages of eight and 10.
The DA says that Watts made the girls touch him in a sexual manner.
The alleged incidents happened over the last three years.
"He was a good teacher, he helped my brother out on numerous occasions and it's shocking," said one PS 15 parent.
"I think it's not true, I think he would never do that, because he was such a nice teacher," said one PS 15 student.
Watts is being held on $200,000 bail.
He's the second teacher in Queens this week charged with sexually abusing a minor.
On Monday, Christine Williams, 41, of PS 80 was arraigned on charges of having intercourse with a 15-year-old male student.
The Department of Education says both teachers have been reassigned away from children as the investigation continues.
