Noted feminist artist Louise Bourgeois has died.
Bourgeois died yesterday at Beth Israel Medical Center, after suffering a heart attack Saturday. She was 98 years old.
Bourgeois was known for sculptures exploring women's emotions on birth, sexuality and death. She earned widespread recognition after the Museum of Modern Art displayed her work in 1982.
Bourgeois later was awarded a National Medal of Arts, and was inducted into the National Women's Hall of Fame.
