About 350 Michael Jackson memorabilia items went on the auction block Saturday in Times Square.

Among the items at the music icon auction held by Julien's Auctions in Hard Rock Cafe was the iconic rhinestone-studded glove Jackson wore at the Motown 25th anniversary special in 1983, where he debuted his signature "moonwalk."

It was originally expected to sell for $40,000 to $60,000.

The 350-lot catalogue also included Jackson's hat, the leather jacket from his music video "Bad" and personal letters.

Fans and collectors came out in hopes to get a piece of history.

"The white glove is $40,000. We want to see what it goes for," said one bidder. "If it starts around $60,000, we might go for it. If it's over $60,000, that's it."

The 50-year old singer died in June from an apparent prescription drug overdose.
