Fashion designer Betsey Johnson turns 70 this year, but you wouldn't know it by her latest collection. NY1's Cheryl Wills filed the following report.

Ain't no party like a Betsey Johnson party as Betseymania swept through Lincoln Center on Monday. The fashion designer is turning the big 7-0 this year. And what does she want? Diamonds, of course.

Betsey's collection is usually pretty racy but not so much this season. For fall, she's taking us back to 1960's Beatlemania.

"She always keeps it fun! It doesn't feel so uptight," said model and actress Angela Simmons.

"She really delivered a fun, creative and wearable collection, so that's great," said entrepreneur Russell Simmons.

"Betsey has so much love, so much energy, so many lives. She's like a cat," said fashion industry pioneer Fern Mallis.

After three generations of Betsey's strutted down the aisle, the first lady of funky fashion proved yet again that age is just a number with her show stopping cartwheel.
