The Mets will be looking for payback Saturday in the Bronx after getting drubbed by the Yankees 9-1 in Game 1 of the season's first Subway Series Friday night.

One week after pitching the Mets' first-ever no-hitter, Johan Santana got pasted by the Bombers.

Robinson Cano blasted a two run homer in the second inning.

In the third, Cano connected for his second shot of the night. Nick Swisher and Andruw Jones added back-to-back-to-back home runs.

Yankees starter Hiroki Kuroda was brilliant, holding the Mets to just one hit over seven innings.

After the game, Santana took the loss in stride.

"You're gonna go through tough outings," he said. "It's just one of those days, you know? The good thing is I felt good. That's what I can say right now."

"It was just kind of one of those magical nights, you know, Robbie, myself, and Druw," said Yankees outfielder Nick Swisher. "I mean, that doesn't happen very often. It was something cool to be part of."

Game 2 is Saturday at 7:15 p.m.
