For the first time ever, an National Hockey League game will be played in Brooklyn in October.
The New York Islanders will face the New Jersey Devils in a pre-season game on October 2 at the new Barclays Center.
The new Nets arena has been mentioned as a possible home for the Islanders, whose lease at the Nassau Coliseum expires in 2015.
The game will happen just days after the new home of the Nets officially opens with a Jay-Z concert.
The Barclays Center is also scheduled to host boxing and college basketball, among other events.
