Former Yankees pitcher Bartolo Colon is suspended after testing positive for testosterone use.
The Oakland Athletics starter will miss the final 40 games of the regular season and the first 10 games of the postseason, if the A's advances that far.
Any remainder of the suspension would be served next season.
The former Cy Young award winner apologized to his teammates and will lose the remainder of this year's salary.
This comes just one week after another ex-Yankee, All-Star player Melky Cabrera, was caught using the same substance.
Cabrera was also suspended for 50 games.
Colon is the fifth player suspended this season.
