Two members of Team USA men's gymnastics team, Bronx native John Orozco and Dannell Leyva, were honored in the city on Thursday following their performances at the Olympics.
Orozco was honored for his efforts in London with a luncheon given by Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. at a Unionport restaurant.
Diaz proclaimed it “John Orozco Day” in the borough.
Over in Manhattan, Leyva, who earned a bronze medal in London, visited with the Chelsea Piers Boys Gymnastics team.
The 22-year-old Cuban native said he hopes to inspire the children to set their standards high and said he hopes to compete in the 2016 games in Rio de Janeiro.
