Officials in the Bronx get a little more time to decide on the proposed development of the Kingsbridge Armory.
On Monday, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Junior was supposed to submit his recommendations in accordance with the Uniform Land Use Review Procedure.
Diaz requested an extension so he could speak with the developer and other parties involved.
The developer, the Related Companies, wants to turn the space into a series of shops and restaurants.
The plans have been a bone of contention with community members.
The new deadline is now set for September 8th.
