Police are investigating the death of a 92-year-old Bronx woman after a bullet was shot through the window of her home Tuesday night.
It happened just before 7 p.m. on East 224th Street in Williamsbridge.
Police say they responded to a call of a female shot and when they arrived they the woman shot in the back.
Investigators say the bullet came through the first floor window of her home. She was taken to Jacobi Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
It's not known if she was the intended target or the victim of a stray bullet.
"It could have been any one of us. It could have been any one of us. She's living right there, my mom is living right there," said one neighbor. "It could've been her house, it could have been anybody at least, ya know."
"To me it's sad to know that she was in her house, she was not outside and she lose her life like that, by some street shot," said another neighbor.
No arrests have been made.
