Police are asking for the public's help locating three men wanted in a string of violent robberies in the Unionport section of the Bronx.

Investigators say Dennis Ancrum, 18, Xavier Burton, 17, and Sterling Logan, 29, are being linked to the incidents.

All three have criminal records.

The most recent robbery happened at the corner of Ellis Avenue and Castle Hill Avenue on the morning of November 3 around 4:30. A 28-year-old man was grabbed from behind and punched in the mouth before his bag and cell phone were taken.

The other two incidents happened in September and May just blocks away. In both cases, the victims were robbed at around 10 p.m.

In September, a 31-year-old woman was also robbed of her cell phone and sustained scratches across her chest. In May, an 18-year-old male was struck with a baseball bat, punched and kicked.

"I could not say that is a normal thing for this neighborhood. This is a very good neighborhood. I have been living here 12 years and it has never happened so if it is now happening that is a really big surprise to me. I am sad to hear that. It is very scary. I hope they catch the culprits," said one Unionport resident.

"I think this neighborhood is really on the way up. I mean you have your pockets of bad things happening but generally it is really not that bad," said another Unionport resident.

Anyone with information about the case is being asked to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-577-TIPS, by texting TIP577 to CRIMES, or by going to NYPDCrimeStoppers.com.
