A man was arrested after allegedly killing a woman in a Bronx hit-and-run incident Friday night.
Police say Sonya Powell, 40, was crossing Baychester Avenue in Wakefield shortly after 8:30 p.m. when she was struck by a 2007 gray Infiniti that fled the scene.
Powell was later pronounced dead at Jacobi Hospital.
Sheldon Reid, 28, was arrested a couple hours later and was charged with aggravated unlicensed driving and leaving the scene of an accident.
