New Yorkers need to learn more about New York City, according to a new poll conducted by a local tourism company.
New York Pass, a company that sells sight-seeing passes to tourists, commissioned a poll called "New York Pass Or Fail Survey" that asked a series of trivia questions about the city over the telephone to 300 New Yorkers.
Only 18 percent knew the seven points on Lady Liberty's crown symbolize the seven seas and the seven continents.
Just 17 percent knew the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx is home to the last patch of the original forest that covered New York.
Only 16 percent of New Yorkers knew that the "Top of the Rock" is located at Midtown's GE Building, seen above.
More encouragingly, 41 percent of those polled knew Historic Richmond Town is located on Staten Island.
An overwhelming 80 percent knew that in the movie "Miracle On 34th Street," Kris Kringle worked at Macy's.
