Four orphaned bear cubs will now call the Bronx Zoo home.
The Wildlife Conservation Society said three of the cubs are brown bear siblings, rescued by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.
The other cub is a grizzly rescued by park rangers in Montana.
A spokesman for the zoo said the four bears are healthy and adjusting quickly to their new surroundings.
He said none of them would have been able to survive in the wild without their mothers, both of whom were killed after wandering too close to humans.
