A three-year-old Bronx boy is expected to be okay after falling three stories from an apartment window Monday night.

It happened at 1062 Huntington Avenue in Schuylerville.

Police say there appeared to be no window guards on the third floor rear window.

Neighbors say the boy is autistic and that both his parents are New York City police officers.

Police are labeling the fall an accident and don't expect to bring charges.

One witness says she saw the boy as EMS workers brought him out of the house.

"I saw them bring the child out on a stretcher and put him in the ambulance," said the child's neighbor, Rita Bernardo. "They had him immobilized. It looked like they were giving him some kind of fluid and they put him in the ambulance and they took right off. And his mother was so upset -- they were holding her. Then she went in the ambulance right after him."

This is the second time in just under a week a child has fallen from a residential window in the Bronx.

On Friday, a four-year-old boy fell off of his balcony 23 floors to his death in Co-Op City.

An investigation into that incident continues.
