A Massachusetts driver is waiting to be arraigned in connection with a deadly wrong way crash on the Major Deegan Expressway.
Pablo Ovalles, 26, has been charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.
Investigators say he was driving northbound in the southbound lane near the Fordham Road exit Saturday morning when his car struck another vehicle.
The driver of the other vehicle, Patrick Smith, 42, of Hackensack, was transported to the hospital, where he later died.
Ovalles was also hospitalized and is listed in stable condition.
