The city may be getting a new outdoor ice skating rink in the Bronx.
The Parks and Recreation Department says a request for proposals has been issued for a seasonal rink in Van Cortlandt Park.
Unused tennis courts would be converted to a rink in the winter.
Parks Commissioner Adrian Benepe says the city hopes to get proposals from companies with a strong background in developing, operating and maintaining temporary rinks.
Proposals must be submitted by May 16.
