The Bronx is getting a nearly $1 million federal grant to improve its domestic violence services.

The money will go to the Bronx district attorney's office, the city Department of Probation, the NYPD and Safe Horizon, a nationwide victim service center.

It will help add more probation officers to keep up with those previously charged and to look out for those with a history of violence.

The grant will also go toward future events sponsored by Safe Horizon and the city.

"This is a way for us to continue to inform the community, to help victims, through diva stop, diva talk, plays and things we do to raise awareness," said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr.

Diaz has received $4 million dollars in funding to enhance domestic violence services since 2002.
