Police were asking for help Sunday to identify a baby boy abandoned in Sunset Park, Brooklyn and to locate his parents.

Investigators say a tenant discovered the baby boy seen above in a car seat in the foyer of 413 62nd Street around 2 p.m. Saturday.

The baby, who is believed to between two to three months old, was taken to Lutheran Hospital and was expected to be okay.

The state's Safe Haven law allows parents to abandon a newborn at a safe place like a hospital or firehouse without fear of prosecution.

If you have any information about the child, contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
