Family and friends gathered in Williamsbridge, Bronx on Saturday for the funeral of a local teen found shot to death in a park near his home.

The body of Kemar Brooks, 14, was found by his father inside Haffen Park in Baychester last week.

Kemar and his father moved to the city from Jamaica two years ago.

Friends said Kemar's death is a huge loss.

"He was a good kid. It's just sad that his life was taken so quick. I'm going to miss him. He was a best friend, like a brother to me," said one mourner.

"He was a one-in-a-million friend. You don't get too many of those that often," said another.

It is still not clear if Kemar was the intended target of the shooter.

A $22,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
