Some newly-renovated basketball courts in the Bronx are scoring big with kids.

Parks officials joined a group of children Tuesday to cut the ribbon on two restored courts at Van Cortlandt Park's Classic Playground.

Following the ribbon cutting, former Knicks forward Larry Johnson helped break in the new courts at a basketball clinic for kids.

Officials said the courts are a great addition to the park.

"I was very lucky to grow up in this community and being able to play in Van Cortlandt Park," said Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz. "So anything that adds to it and that allows more kids to benefit from the beauty of the park really has an impact on our community."

The Courts of Dreams Foundation joined with Mayor Bloomberg to fund the $162,000 project, which included new asphalt, backboards and benches.
