A baby flamingo recently took its first steps at the Bronx Zoo.
The Caribbean Flamingo hatched last week at the zoo's Aquatic Birds exhibit.
Flamingos are hatched with white feathers but develop their trademark pink coloration from their diet.
Earlier in the summer, researchers from the zoo led a coalition of scientists to the Bahamas to study the migration patterns of Caribbean Flamingos.
