Police are asking for help catching an alleged gang of thieves.

Police say six females seen in surveillance video approached two others at 32-11 Beach Channel Drive in Far Rockaway on the morning January 16 and demanded a woman's phone.

When she refused, she and another woman were beaten, according to police, and the gang of thieves allegedly made off with a phone and mp3 player.

The victims were not seriously hurt.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
